Turkey is a vast country with unique natural landscapes and a rich history and culture, the remains of the many civilisations which have inhabited this ancient land. To date, UNESCO has registered 9 locations in Turkey on the World Heritage List.Two of the Great Wonders of the Ancient Wolrd were in Turkey – the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus and the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus.

Add to this; important Christian sites, remains of the Old Silk Route, Troy and Natural Wonders and you have a country which will both fascinate and delight you.

Life in Turkey is a rich variety of cultures and traditions, some dating back centuries and others of more recent heritage. The visitor to Turkey will find a great deal that is exotic, and also much that is reassuringly familiar.

Add a fascinating visit to Greece and this is a complete visit to the region.

Day 1 Thu : Istanbul – Arrival

Arrival and transfer to hotel. Welcome briefing.

Day 2 Fri : Istanbul

Full day tour to include: Topkapi Palace (excluding harem), Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, St. Sophia and the Grand Covered Bazaar. Optional: Dinner with belly dancing entertainment. (B)

Day 3 Sat : Gallipoli – Dardanelles – Canakkale

Morning departure for Gallipoli and visit Anzac Cove ,Lone Pine cemetery Chunuk Bair, Gabatepe War Museum then across the Dardanelles to Canakkale for overnight. (B,D)

Day 4 Sun : Troy – Pergamum – Kusadasi

Visit Troy with its famous wooden horse, tour Pergamum and continue to Kusadasi for overnight.(B,D)

Day 5 Mon : Ephesus & St. Mary’s House – Kusadasi

Tour the famous ruins of Ephesus and St. Mary’s cottage. Afternoon Optional: tour of Sardis or Srince. (B,D)

Day 6 Tue : Kusadasi – Pamukkale

Drive through fertile valleys to Pamukkale (white lime cascades) visit Hierapolis and enjoy the thermal pools of our hotel. (B,D)

Day 7 Wed : Hierapolis – Marmaris

Morning transfer to South, to the resort city of Marmaris, afternoon is free. (B,D)

Day 8 Thu : Marmaris – Rhodes

Morning transfer to port for hydrofoil trip to Rhodes, Greece. Arrive and transfer to hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 9 Fri : Rhodes

A day of leisure; you may visit Old Rhodes or take an Optional: tour to Lindos. (B)

Day 10 Sat : Rhodes – Santorini

Transfer to the airport for a flight to Santorini. Arrival and transfer to your hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 11 Sun : Santorini

A free day to visit one of the many villages of Santorini, perched on top of the volcano, or enjoy a sun-soaked afternoon on the beach. (B)

Day 12 Mon : Santorini – Mykonos

Transfer to the pier for a hydrofoil or ferry ride to Mykonos. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the nightlife of Mykonos. (B)

Day 13 Tue : Mykonos

Explore the many beaches of Mykonos and absorb the ambience of this Cycladic Island during this day at leisure. (B)

Day 14 Wed : Mykonos – Athens

Morning is free. Board an afternoon flight to Athens. Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy an Optional: dinner with folklore dancing or visit the quaint Plaka area. (B)

Day 15 Thu : Athens

Tour Athens’ famed Acropolis with its breathtaking view and renowned Parthenon, followed by a visit to the Acropolis Museum. On your own, explore the Plaka with its open-air taverns and traditional shops. (B)

Day 16 Fri : Athens – Return Our representative escorts you to the airport for the flight home. (B)
